Executive Committee: The Executive Committee addresses emergency needs of PTAA between meetings of the Board.

Governance Committee: Chair: Sterling Kelly
PURPOSE: Charged with leading continuing efforts to develop a strong and effective Board.
ACTIVITIES: Develops a pool of Board candidates.
Makes suggestions to improve Board performance and efficiencies.
At the minimum, the President and VP shall serve.

Government and Industry Affairs Committee: PURPOSE: To increase PTAA’s political influence in the Triad.
- ACTIVITIES: Monitors local government meetings searching for issues that affect PTAA’s industry.
- Makes members aware of hot button issues.
- Lobbies on behalf of its members.
- At least, the President and VP shall serve.
Education/Seminars Committee: Chair: Shana Golladay, Hawthorne
The focus of this group has narrowed to the delivery and monitoring of NAA’s professional designations: NALP, CAM, CAMT, CAPS, and CAS. They need regular committee members, teachers, and evaluators.
This committee will develop, deliver, and monitor seminars and workshops to address ongoing training and regulatory certification of the industry. Offerings include Fair Housing, Leasing Fundamentals, CFC & pool certifications, and legal seminars. This is an excellent place to plug in, especially considering the variety of workshops to be offered. We need coordinators and instructors.

Public Relations/Communications
PURPOSE: Charged with keeping PTAA Members and the community at large informed about PTAA activities.
ACTIVITIES:
- Oversees publishing of the Triadvocate, PTAA website and various PTAA social media properties.
- Publicizes PTAA events and accomplishments in regional press outlets.
- Updates NAA/AANC about PTAA events and accomplishments.
- Develops overall communication strategy for association.

Products and Services Council: President: Cindy Petersen, Appliance Warehouse
This group of 20 Vendor Partner companies provides a forum for discussing and monitoring issues and programs of particular interest to the vendor community within PTAA. There is a waiting list for participation.
Meeting time: 1st Tuesday of the month, 10 a.m.
- Food Drive Committee: (Event held during the summer months) Chair: Dale Holder, Apartment Finder
Meeting time: TBD. This committee has it's work cut out for itself to outdo last year when we raised over 220,000 cans of food for 2nd Harvest Food Bank! Make no mistake, this is a fun bunch to work with, but we do work hard because it is for an important cause. Some other volunteers on this committee include Kari Youngblood - Remax, Joan Campbell - Fastsigns. Volunteers get to help Dale work with the Greensboro Grasshoppers, Winston-Salem Dash, and even the mayors office. We also need help delivering food drive boxes to properties, delivering promotional flyers about the events and just spreading the word to get properties involved, and volunteers at the baseball games and collection locations. The program starts around mid-February few weeks and climaxes in August at the Owners Cup Challenge. If you want to volunteer to this committee and have time to tackle tasks, contact Dale today!

Golf Committee, is comprised of both Vendor partners and Owner operators slatted with planning an organizing our annual golf tournament. The committee meets at least 3 times prior to the event to discuss sponsorships, advertising to the members of the association as a whole and working directly with both PTAA and Golf course to ensure a successful event. It is our responsibility to adhere to the budget set forth by the board of directors. By generating revenues that meet or exceed those expectations while limiting expenses when possible.

If you are creative and don't mind a little work then this is the committee for you! We had a great trade show last year and we are looking to top it this year! So if you have a great idea then join my committee! We meet once a month starting in April and we usually try to meet at 9am just before the PSC monthly meeting which is held on the 1st Tuesday of the month, 10 a.m. The Trade Show will be held in October, the date is to be determined by the committee.
Membership Development Committee (formerly Programs): Chair- Emily Sundseth, Blue Ridge Prop Mgmt.

- Diamond Awards Committee: (Event occurs in March annually) Chair:Amy Ketterman, Got You Floored.
This committee coordinates the processes of award nominating, nominee packet submission, analyzing packets to determine finalists, arranging judging, and planning of the actual Diamond Award dinner meeting. We have fun but that take pride in all aspects of this prestigious event.
