- Legal Aspects - fair housing laws, complaint filing, discrimination, prohibited practices, protected classes, testers, fair housing resources, ADA
- Rental Policies and Procedures - policies, application verification, processing checklist, lease preparation & signing, law of contracts, move in process, resident relations
- Telephone Presentations - effective phone skills, active listening, etiquette, objectives, initial leasing questions, taking service requests, identifying needs, handling irate callers
- The Leasing Interview & Qualifying Residents - importance of first impressions, curb appeal, understanding reasons for moving, taking the lead, the leasing notebook, greeting prospects, the leasing interview

REQUIREMENTS
There are specific requirements for each designation that must be met in order to obtain the designation. You can take a course prior to meeting the experience requirement. Once you’ve met all the requirements, you will obtain your designation. Certain time limits apply and additional extension fees can be paid, if more time is needed.
Candidacy requirements include completion of the NALP Curriculum, successful passing of final exam (score 70 or above), successful passing of oral presentation and six months of apartment industry experience.
